Acoustic Instrument Section
Dear Teachers & Competitors,
After 20 years as Convenor of the Acoustic Instrument Section of the Te Awamutu Competitions I have decided it’s time to step down.
It’s been quite a journey with many years seeing the joy of accomplishment and the ‘have a go’ spirit of competitors of all ages.
The dedication, level of skill and musicianship has been an inspiration and will always remain with me.
At this stage we do not have a Convenor to take over.
If you know of anyone who may consider taking this on, please do ask them to get in touch.
Sadly, if there is no Convenor, the Acoustic Instrument Section will close.
Please note, THIS ONLY IMPACTS the ACOUSTIC INSTRUMENT SECTION.
ALL OTHER SECTIONS WILL CONTINUE AS USUAL.
The 2023 Syllabus for Vocal, Pianoforte, Speech & Drama, Ballet, Tap & Modern/Jazz Dance, Highland & National Dance will be available online by the end of April.
Teachers - I want to thank you for your continued support of the Te Awamutu Competitions and the Acoustic Instrument Section. There is no doubt that it’s through your encouragement, perseverance and behind-the-scenes input that enables students to take part in Performing Arts Festivals.
Competitors – a huge congratulations on what you have achieved and will continue to achieve. Over the years I have been wowed, awe-struck, and inspired by your performances. What a privilege it has been to be a part of!
Trophies and cups - can be returned to us at any time. I will be in touch mid-year to gather these in.
I wish you all the best as you continue being inspired and to inspire others on your music journey.
Yours musically
